"We are very excited to see the FedEx project begin at Iron
Horse," said Troy McWhinney, Principal. "The anchoring of a FedEx distribution
center is another great step toward our commitment to bring quality development
to the region," said McWhinney.
The distribution center will serve the entire Northern
Colorado region, which includes the cities of Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley,
Johnstown, and Windsor among others. FedEx Freight is the leading provider of
regional less-than-truckload services in the United States.
Kansas City-based Jones Development Company will build the
distribution center at Iron Horse on the 10-acre parcel of land it purchased
from McWhinney for the project. Ron Kuehl - McWhinney Real Estate Services,
represented the seller, Iron Horse, LLC and Fischer & Company represented the
purchaser.
"We are proud to partner with McWhinney and the Town of
Johnstown to spearhead this development project with FedEx," said Kevin Jones,
Managing Member, Jones Development Company. "I have enjoyed collaborating with
Troy and all of the McWhinney staff because of their utmost professionalism."
Named Iron Horse for the development's proximity and access to the Great Western
and Union Pacific railway systems, which border the property, the development
will be a mix of commercial, retail, office, and industrial spaces.
Strategically located on Highway 34 with close proximity to the Interstate 25
interchange, this well-designed industrial park is expected to attract
businesses that need close proximity to the railroads, Interstate 25, and/or the
Fort Collins Loveland Airport. |
